Cape Town via the N1 toward the town of Paarl.Arrive at the
impressive Taal
monument with its sweeping views over the Paarl valley.
Paarl
is one of the countries oldest towns and has magnificent
architecture from the Cape Dutch period. Also home to the KWV
Cellars, a giant co-operative.

at this lovely wine estate which also specializes in making
Goat cheese from its herd of 600 Swiss Saanen goats.

FRANSCHOEK
We
travel through winding country roads and dramatic mountain
passes toward the French Huguenot town of Franchoek.Visit to
the Huguenot memorial and museum. Lunch will be served in
Franschhoek.
This
town is where approximately 600 French families arrived in
1688 to escape the persecutions against them in France. The
town still carries a lot of French ambience. It is also
considered one of the best wine producing areas of the
country.
DELAIRE
WINE ESTATE
Situated
at the top of the
Helshoogte pass we arrive at this charming wine estate. It has
one of the most stunning views. Wine tasting follows.
Delaire
has 19 ha of vineyards and produces 4 – 5000 cases.
STELLENBOSCH
Down
the pass and we arrive at this lovely and quaint town. Town
tour followed by a visit to the Dorp street Museum. This
consist of 4 period houses , each about 100 years older than
the other.
Time
to stroll through the oak lined streets.
Late
afternoon departure for Cape Town.
