Day
One
Depart Cape
Town around 09h00 en route to Hermanus to see the whales.
We travel through wheat country to Swellendam, a 17th
century town. Here we lunch at Zandrift Restaurant. From
Swellendam we travel to Barrydale through the Tradouw
Pass to Ladysmith, Calitzdorp, arriving Oudtshoorn in
the late part of the afternoon. We overnight at a quaint old
Colonial Hotel.
Day
Two
Early
morning departure, we travel to the famous Cango Caves for our
09h00 tour. A full guided tour of the caves, where one is able
to see the magnificent stalactite and stalichmite formations,
and then it is onto the Cango Cheetah Farm for a tour and an
opportunity to sit with a cheetah. We continue to the Safari
Ostrich farm for lunch, and enjoy a tour of these fascinating
birds. We continue over the Outeniqua Pass, passing the hops
fields to the town of George. We continue along the N2 and
enter the heart of the garden route with its fabulous natural
forests, lakes and mountains. We arrive in Knysna, a quaint
wood cutting town famous for its Oysters. Overnight in Knysna.

Three
Early
morning departure for George via the famous Outeniqua Tjoe
Tjoe train, sit back and relax enjoying one of the most
beautiful scenic trips of the garden route. The trip takes
approximately two and a half hours. We arrive at George and
are picked up by our guide. We say farewell to this beautiful
area and head back for the Mother City, arriving approximately
17h00.
