We arrive
at the visitor’s center, which introduces us to the exciting
world of nuclear energy. Through a number of interesting
exhibitions and video material one can get a glimpse into this
marvelous world.
We then
make our way to one of the West Coasts’ best kept alfresco
secrets. In an unspoiled atmosphere, which blends into the
dunes, the type of food served here is the way we would prefer
ourselves to eat and relax.
The 1st
course is a mug of crayfish soup served with white and brown
bread hot from the beachside ovens. A number of
homemade jams and farm butter to rave over. After soup,
there is a pause so that the taste buds can re group
themselves. Minced perlemoen and rice plus a half of crayfish
and plump mussels cooked in seawater, which brings out the
natural delicacy, is served. A number of appetizing salads are
presented in wooden hand crafted bowls.
The meal is
spread out of a number of hours, creating a stunning afternoon
where one is able to enjoy a light walk between courses.
We
return to Cape Town in the late afternoon.
